Pace Reunion 2007
Our 25th Pace Reunion? Wow, that is a lot of tradition. All started by Challie and Dixie Pace, pictured above. So we see some things never change, like everybody playing their hearts out on the volleyball court.
To the victor, go the spoils, Dean's team won this year. Mary had to give up the trophy, but not before they added a NC tribute. The eagle on the top. The inscription reads, "the south will rise again". Unfortunately for Mary, it wasn't this year.
We still had our watchers, but they had babies to chase.
I was able to catch one, and I found out that I still have the touch. Here is me with my brother's youngest, Abigail.
The swing set that Alan had set up, was a big hit with the kids.
Especially for Caden who seemed to really love it. Just look at that smile. You'll also notice grandpa Jim's hands in the picture. Where Caden was, you could usually find him.
Below is the latest picture of Jim's family. This was Abigail and Caden's first Pace reunion.

From everything I could see, the reunion was a big success. They played volleyball till you couldn't see the ball. Those that didn't play volleyball, stayed up and gabbed the night away. Plenty to catch up on. After all isn't that what reunions are for?
A warning to Dean, watch out we have some kids in training, we're going after that trophy next year.
